Burl William McLaughlin (b. 1920, Maude, Oklahoma-d. March 16, 2007), U.S. Air Force officer, began his military career as an aviation cadet after graduating from college. In 1941 he received his commission and pilot wings. During World War II, he served as an instructor pilot, flight commander, and group commander at various Air Training Command bases.
